Is a Baby Shower Videographer Worth It?

Most people don't think to get their baby shower filmed. Photos, maybe - but video doesn't usually cross anyone's mind. I honestly think it's one of the nicest things you can do for yourself (and for your little one later on).

Why film a baby shower?

A baby shower is one of the only times everyone who loves you & your baby is in one room before they arrive. Your mum, your grandma, your best friends, the friends you don't see enough - all together, all there for you.

Once baby is here, life gets busy very quickly. It's lovely to be able to sit down one day and watch it all back - and one day show them too.

What I capture

I keep it relaxed & just blend in, so nobody feels like they're being filmed. Things I'll usually capture:

  • The decorations & all the little details you've put together
  • Guests arriving & the first hugs
  • The games (always more chaotic than planned!)
  • Opening presents & everyone's reactions
  • Any speeches or messages for baby
  • The cake & all the bits in between

Everything is edited into a short film set to music, with the real sound kept in - so you can hear the laughter, the speeches & the little things people say.

Can I have photos too?

Yes! Just let me know & we'll work out what makes the most sense for your day.

How much does it cost?

Every shower is a bit different - some are an hour at home, some are a whole afternoon with a big guest list - so I price each one to suit your day. Get in touch with your date & a few details and I'll put something together for you.

FAQ

Questions

Do you film baby showers in Scottsdale?

Yes! I film baby showers in Scottsdale, Phoenix & the surrounding areas - at home, at a venue or in a restaurant.

Will people feel awkward being filmed?

Not usually. I keep it relaxed & stay out of the way, so after the first few minutes most people forget I'm there.

How long is the film?

It depends on your day, but it's a short film you'll actually want to watch again & again - not hours of footage.
